The hotel was attractively decorated to a high standard in a great location, with well-decorated rooms. The staff was polite and friendly, but the entrance to the rear car park was difficult to find. The dining experience offered fabulous ham/cheese toasties but some dishes were served cold. The hotel had a disco on Saturdays, and communal areas were described as stuffy.
Rooms

My room was very clean and of decent size for the price paid, but the single glazed sash windows created a draft.
Service

The staff at the hotel were polite and friendly but there was no clear management at the bar.

The hotel was decorated to perfection and was good for us, but it was difficult to find the entrance to the rear car park if you don't know the area.

During the weekend, some dishes were stone cold, though promptly exchanged by staff. The ham/cheese toasties were fabulous.

The hotel is located in old Swindon, further down Wood St, which was good for what we needed. The rooms were situated above a busy bar with function areas, and single glazed windows of the sash type created a draft. The service was friendly and welcoming, but there are occasional issues. The dining experience was a bit hit and miss, and the staff took longer than expected to serve. The location suited my needs well, thanks to Vicky and all the staff involved in making our event a success.

The hotel offers stunning rooms tastefully decorated and spacious, with friendly service. Although the stay was ideal with a quiet atmosphere, I found the parking pricey and the location slightly noisy. The breakfast was good but could improve the timing. Facilities were well-maintained and pleasant.
Rooms

The rooms at the back of the property were just stunning, very tastefully decorated, resembling the newly decorated version. The superior double room was comfortable for our group family booking.
Service
8.0
The staff, especially at tentative, were all very friendly and refunded money promptly. However, the lack of knowledge caused some inconvenience.
Location

The location, though potentially noisy, was ideal - very quiet on Monday. The area is central, clean, and staff are helpful and friendly. Difficult to find the entrance to the rear car park if unfamiliar with the area.
Dining

The dining experience was good overall. The breakfast was fresh, but the timing could be more flexible considering the early checkout time.
